HOW TO CONVERT INFO-MAC DIGESTS TO HTML FORMAT

Drag & Drop from the Finder

Converting an Info-Mac digest is as simple as dragging the digest file (saved from your mail program as a text file or a Claris Em@iler file) over the Info-Mac To HTML icon (or an alias) and releasing the button. If the preferences had not been setup, the resulting HTML file will be placed in the same folder as the original digest file, otherwise the file will placed where specified in the Preferences dialog. The HTML file will be produced as a Netscape Navigator® document and hence will attempt to launch Netscape Navigator® if it is double clicked. You may however view the file with other browsers by opening the files from the file menu. If a Post-Process folder has been specified, the digest will be moved to that file after processing.

You may convert as many digests as you wish by doing a group selection of digests and/or folders (shift-clicking or drag selection) and dragging over the Info-Mac To HTML icon.

If the HTML files don't display correctly, check that your preferences have been set up (see the Setup section of this manual). If the preferences haven't been set up, copy the graphics files to the same folder as the Info-Mac digests.

From The File Menu

If you select the Process One File option from the file menu, you will be prompted with a standard file dialog to select a digest file to convert.

If you select the Process Source Folder option from the file menu, the program will process all files in the Source Folder (including any files in nested folders). The Source Folder must be assigned in the preferences before performing this action.
